Lux Team Member is a “25 Under 25 Native Youth Leader.”

Lux team member Frederick (Freddy) Gipp has been named a “25 Under 25 Native Youth Leaders”  by United National Indian Tribal Youth (UNITY). The UNITY program recognizes and celebrates the achievements of Native youth leaders under the age of 25 who embody UNITY’s core mission and exudes living a balanced life developing their spiritual, mental, physical and social well-being.

Lux Business Development Specialist Freddy Gipp, a member of the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma, was recognized last month based on achievements in his community in Lawrence, Kansas.  Freddy is an accomplished Native American grass dancer, He has traveled to dance and has competed at various powwow celebrations all across the country and into Canada. Freddy is also a former intern for the Bureau of Indian Education and a graduate of the University of Kansas,

On June 6th. Freddy will host a “Young Professionals Powwow” to celebrate up-and-coming Native American dancers and singers between the ages of 18-29 in Lawrence, Kansas. For more information on this event visit
